SME CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME COMMENCES

Business Botswana is currently rolling out the second phase of the SME capacity-building program which is a sub-component of the Support to Economic Diversification Program that is funded by the African Development Bank.

The training was targeted at horticultural farmers in conjunction with BOHOCO to train 50 farmers on various issues to assist them enhance their production capabilities and capacities. Part of the training included; re-orient their business strategies and access to markets. In addition, the project will develop initiatives that will create more opportunities for SMEs, leverage large enterprises and government programs to upgrade SMEs, and make government support schemes more effective for SMEs.
