Business Botswana Stands with Youth in the Fight Against Corruption.

On the 9th December 2025, Business Botswana’s newly appointed CEO, Ms. Tumi Mbaakanyi, joined national leaders, institutions, and young people at the International Anti-Corruption Day Leadership Conference, hosted by the DCEC under the theme “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption, Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.”
Addressing a high-level audience of government leaders, international partners, civil society, the private sector, and youth, Ms. Mbaakanyi delivered a strong private-sector stance, that corruption is not only unethical, as it is a direct economic threat.
She emphasised that corruption distorts markets, raises business costs, deters investment, and steals opportunities from citizens, especially young people.
Her message was clear and powerful...Ethical conduct must be seen as a business asset, not just an obligation.
