Business Botswana and Ministry of International Trade Hold Sector High-Level Consultative Council Meeting

Yesterday, Business Botswana and the Ministry of International Relations (MIR) held a Sector High-Level Consultative Council (HLCC) meeting, co-chaired by the Minister of International Relations, Hon. Dr Phenyo Butale, and Business Botswana’s Ministry HLCC Coordinator, Mr Joseph Willie. The meeting brought together Government and Private Sector representatives to strengthen dialogue and alignment on key issues related to the country's international relations and economic diplomacy. Updates on the Foreign Policy, Economic Diplomacy Policy, Meetings/Incentives/Conferences/Exhibitions (MICE) ensued as well as deliberations on diplomatic activities by MIR and Business Botswana. The upcoming National Business Conference was also a discussion matter.
The Sector HLCCs are part of the Public-Private Dialogue framework, providing a platform for Government and the Private Sector to align and ensure that Botswana’s international relations and economic diplomacy create meaningful opportunities for local businesses and support the country’s economic transformation.
